History
On 1, December, 1945, shortly after the Second World War, JOVYATLAS GmbH was founded by the engineer Dr. Richard Klaus Jovy in Leer. The headquarters of the company is near the Dutch boarder in northwestern Germany. We are situated approximately one hour's drive on the motorway from Bremen airport. The history of JOVYATLAS GmbH is marked by continuity, a pioneering spirit and innovative strength. Electronic rectifiers for cinemas, frequency converters, welding rectifiers, alternating rectifiers and later UPS and hospital emergency power supply equipment were part of the development and supply program of Dr. Jovy. We still comply with this tradition today. Our product range is constantly being adapted to modern requirements and needs, with a view to the future.
In its more than 50 year history JOVYATLAS has developed into the international company it is today — selling on all five continents. The development has always been accompanied by performance and quality, excellent service and a competent staff. From April, 1989 to December, 1994 JOVYATLAS GmbH was part of the MagneTek concern. In January, 1995 we were taken over by the Carlyle Group and incorprated into the newly-founded Power Paragon Inc, Deleware.
In 1997, Power Paragon, Inc. joined Power & Control Systems Group, a full-line provider of ruggedized, reliable and cost-effective electrical power systems and services for military and commercial applications. Power & Control Systems Group is the power arm of L-3 Communications, a leading supplier of secure communications systems and products, microwave components, avionics and ocean systems, telemetry, instrumentation and space and wireless products.
A highly motivated team of consultants is available to our customers to give advise on our range, which is of a high standard and at the same time market oriented.
Since 1995 JOVYATLAS has been certificated according to DIN ISO 9001/05.90 (EN 29001).

Profile
JOVYATLAS is a manufacturer of power quality and protection equipment
such as uninterruptible power systems. The company also offers a complete
line of telecom and rail application high-current braking resistors, converters
and rectifiers. Other products include movie theater arc lamp power supplies
and load benches for test applications.
The JOVYATLAS line of uninterruptible power systems, meeting stringent
VDE standards, is recognized in Germany and Europe as one of the best protection
units in the 50 VA to 150 VA range. The JOVYATLAS custom designed high-power
loads and breaking resistors are tailored to each customer's requirements.
The rail converters and telecom battery chargers have completed extensive
qualification testing by the German rail authorities and German telecom
respectively.
